Coffee, Chill and Spill - Supporting Maternal wellbeing

Coffee chill and Spill (CC&S) is a local project focusing on maternal and parental mental health. We offer a weekly peer support sessions across three Greater Manchester boroughs. The vision of the project is connection parents to their community and offer a safe and welcoming space where mums in particular can come together and share experiences in a nonjudgmental environment. We recognise that parenting is amazing and overwhelming in equal measures and we aim to provide a community that supports the struggles parents face in the many transitions of parenthood.

In 2019 CC&S was created by our founder, Vik who built the idea off of the back of her own experience of perinatal mental health after the birth of her second child. Vik was diagnosed with postnatal anxiety and depression and in a community she once felt very connected, she found herself feeling very isolated and alone, so she created what she believed was missing in the local area and CC&S has been thriving ever since.

Our weekly peer support sessions are women only (and baby), we invite you to come to the sessions exactly how you need to, we have open, honest and raw conversations and we normalise all aspects of motherhood. We share experiences and laugh lots, we provide breakfast snacks including toast, fruit and biscuits (vegan options available), we serve hot and cold drinks and generally aim to look after you in the time that you are with us. There is a small charge of £2.50 a session, but we also have subsidised spaces for anyone that might need one, we are very discreet with any requests so please do not hesitate to ask.

Our team has grown over time and you will see the same faces facilitating all of our support resources. Each member of our team has lived experienced of perinatal mental health and is passionate about giving back and providing a supportive space for families.
